Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home by using a combined gross home income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or intend to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to more info wait until the last day.
